Iiiiii am making progress. It's been a long time coming, and I really can't even take most of the credit for it, since my awesome mentor essentially pushed me in the direction I needed to go. But I've put in my notice at the large retail pet store and will be training at a smaller, very well known dog training studio. The methods are slightly different, so I've got some tweaking to do, but overall it seems like the philosophy I've been using meshes very very well with the new studio. And I'll be doing private sessions for the students that want them, as well as follow ups for an internationally known animal behaviorist. I AM PSYCHED.

P.S. I'm still waiting for my lab student's mom to wake up and smell the disaster, but her baby's not due 'til middle of 2009, so there's still hope. Besides, I need to find myself a dog-friendly apartment before I can really try to adopt this big guy. Whom I love. A ton.
