Iiiiii am making progress. It's been a long time coming, and I really can't even take most of the credit for it, since my awesome mentor essentially pushed me in the direction I needed to go. But I've put in my notice at the large retail pet store and will be training at a smaller, very well known dog training studio. The methods are slightly different, so I've got some tweaking to do, but overall it seems like the philosophy I've been using meshes very very well with the new studio. And I'll be doing private sessions for the students that want them, as well as follow ups for an internationally known animal behaviorist. I AM PSYCHED. P.S. I'

Whoah, what an emo title, hunh? Unfortunately, that was kinda my day/week/month. I've been looking into grad school after taking a year off since I graduated. I didn't get into the Ph.D. program at my alma mater, which turns out to be an okay thing. They weren't really interested in the kind of research I wanted to do, and (according to my advisor) I kinda got backstabbed by one of the professors who wrote a letter of recommendation. The letter was fabulous, but when it came time to discuss, he said I was "unmotivated and apathetic." Ahem. I got a 4.0 in his class. So... wtf? Anyway, I found another school that would allow me to learn what

A'right. So. I've been gone a while. A loooong while. For those of you who are wondering, I'm not dead. I'm busy, and very much alive. actually, I'm getting married on August 22nd. And right now, that's pretty much the biggest excitement (and stressor) in my life. S'good.
